Please help a child “earn” a bike this summer.
How can you help? Donate to the KRP scholarship fund. Student fee is $50.00, KRP offers scholarships up to $20.00 per student based on funds available.
Students ages 10 to 17 come to 20 hours of instruction on bike repair, biking as healthy exercise, biking safety, basic tool usage and learn from experienced adult instructors. Students not only learn basic skills but also build self-esteem. Upon completion of the week long program, students receive certificates of completion and a cake and ice cream celebration. After the celebration, students take home the bike they learned on, helmet, lock and chain.
Classes run Monday – Friday, operating daily from 9 to 1:30 PM, lunch is included. Students come from the Tri-County area. Many from low income and single parent homes. KRP strives to turn no one away who wishes to learn and earn a bike.
